The New Skimz KONE protein skimmer is the successful result of blending state-of-the-art technology with attractive design.
KONE's conical-shape has distinct design advantages - the bubbles in the reaction chamber are forced to move vertically upward, resulting in natural foam formation to minimize bubble bursting. This natural foam formation of the bubbles reduces surface agitation, thus creating a gentle foaming within the skimmer and results in increased skimming efficiency. Together with the use of the bubble plate design, turbulence within the reaction chamber is significantly reduced, allowing maximum air flow capacity in a compact skimmer.

KONE SK2 features the more powerful AquaBee 5000 needlewheel pump. The advanced design of the AquaBee 5000 needlewheel impeller produces extremely fine bubbles for unsurpassed skimming performance. With the combination of the conical body and bubble plate, it is the most effective skimmer in its class by significantly reducing turbulence, bubble bursting and surface agitation. The SK2 draws an air intake of 1000 litres per hour, suitable for tanks up to 1500 litres. This competitively priced skimmer is low on power consumption, attractive yet delivers superb skimming results.

KONE SK2 is designed for both in-sump and out-sump use. For out-sump use, the SK2 should be provided with water from the aquarium either from a separate feed pump or gravity feed.

All AquaBee 5000 needlewheel pumps are equipped with a SS-5 silencer, which effectively eliminates air suction noise.
